Artist Bios: Vinny (Virginia Cruz): Bachelors Degree in Dramatic Arts from William Patterson University, where she did such plays as; Grease, Lil Abner, The Fantastics, Ain't Misbehavin' and Marad\Sade. She was also in the chorus of the off Broadway production of "The Healers". For the past year and a half she has been part of the ensemble "The King of Hearts". Drag shows included locations such as The 2005 Brooklyn Gay Pride Boat Show, Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance, B-52's (Remix), The Platinum Lounge and assorted New York Venues. Her goal to reach the audiences is to bring theatrical comedy to all her performances. She would like to send her thanks to all her latinas lesbians for the support of her art. Papito (Desi Martinez) has performed in several pride parades inclusive of Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan and New Jersey. Currently she is singing with the Lavender Light Gospel Choir as an Alto, for the likes of Hillary Clinton, Christine Quinn and those in the life. She is also the Founder of "The King of Hearts" as well as the Artistic Director. All her performances have been done live with her own vocals. She carries the love of entertaining people outside of the norm; Mothers and Grandmothers alike and still find the time to give back to the Gay/Home communities. Her venues of performance have been Brooklyn, Queens Manhattan, Bronx and New Jersey. Macha (Eliabeth Marrero) first burst onto the club scene
with her Drag act in 1998 for a fund raiser for Dyke TV. She quickly
became a name in certain households with her diverse manifestations of
Macha. She began her performance career with Bessie Award winner
dancer/choreographer Arthur Aviles in performing the role of "Maeva" in
over a dozen dance pieces for the past 15 years and in 2003 she performed
Arturella at Dance Theatre Workshop. In 2001 she premiered her own one-woman comedy show "Machataso: A One Woman Cho" in the BAAD! ASS WOMEN 2001 and the show had a 3 week, sold-out extended run in November of that same year. Since then she premiered her subsequent one-woman shows "Macha Does Vegas in 2002", "Petronelia's Finca in 2003", "Petronelia:Her Broadway Show" in 2004 and "The Macha Monologues" in 2005. She now adds "Santa Macha" for 2006 to her portfolio, airing in November 2006 at BAAD! In addition to performing at BAAD!,she has performed at WOW Cafe, The Lovinger Theatre, Pregones Theatre, Long Island University, and in many alternative Clubs in Manhattan. She received a 2003 BRIO (Bronx Recognizes It's Own) Award from the Bronx Council on the Arts as well as receiving a 2006 Tanne Foundation Award for Emerging Artists. She has performed in the United States, France and Puerto Rico. Macha would like to send many thanks to God, her Family and to the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance. Rivers Of Honey BIOS: Chaney
Sims is an actor, songstress, storyteller and self-proclaimed
renaissance woman from Queens, New York. She has performed at venues
throughout NYC including The Bitter End, the Blue Note, Bluestockings,
BRIC Studios, HERE Arts Center and Joe's Pub with the American Acoustic
Roots Orchestra and descendants of freedom: a futuristic queer hip-hop
odyssey. Miral Kotb received her B.A. at Columbia University while
studying dance at Barnard College, where she trained with Katie Glasner,
Mary-Lisa Burns and Francis Patrelle. She has taught dance in London at
both Danceworks and Pineapple Studios and has studied at Pariss Studio
Harmonique. Miral has performed for Nina Buisson, Jana Hicks, Scott Lyons,
in Logic of the Birds (Lincoln Center Festival 2002), and in the play
Aggripina. Mirals work has been seen at the Broadway Dance Center
Performance Outlet, Dance Space Center, the Hatch Performing Series and
the Williamsburg Art Nexus. Her company, Miral and Friends, had their
first full-length evening at The Mulberry Street Theater in October of
2003. Nicki Marshall is a dancer, singer, and yogini. She thanks her
mom for starting her on this path by dancing with her to Michael Jackson
and The Police in their livingroom. Nicki has been studying and performing
modern and West African dance for years and just recently took a trip to
Guinea, West Africa. She is a member of Magbana Drum and Dance and will be
producing a collaborative dance and vocal work at WOW in the coming year
with Helen Tocci. Through her work and in her life, Nicki is on the path
of living her truth! Danni Willis is from Appalachia Virginia and has been acting
since the age of 8. Some roles include Amanda in The Glass Menagerie,
Fagin in Oliver Twist, and The Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz. Worked
with Pro Arts Association in Wise Virginia for 8 years and spent a summer
with The Round Table Players in Big Stone Gap Virginia. She thanks her
father, Dr. Dave, and Louise, and her alter ego, Dirty South of The Barbarians.
