3 Ethnically Ambiguous kids (Jay, Ray and Ted) discover an old Vaudeville show done in the 1900’s which featured all black performers. A man named Pat Chappelle was the the first successful African American to run an entire minstrel show with an all African Americans cast. The 3 kids try to recreate the show while adding elements of their own music, dance, hip-hop and comedy skills. With help from their friends (Vaudeville Vixen and Black Zorro) they put on a one of a kind show. The show is so popular that a woman (Melany Wolcott) buys the show from them. The only agreement is that Ray’s roommate (James Crow) is apart of the show. Jay and James do not get along and Jay ends up quitting the show. After a journey of self discovery with a mind altering dance experience from a puppet (Dollface) Jay comes to a realization of his biracial identity. Giving him the confidence to come back to the show but not in a way they had hoped. With elements of the Marx brothers, Donald Glover’s “Atlanta”, Cats Don’t Dance and Charlie Chaplin these adventures are only the beginning.
