We will meet over six Sundays between Nov 6 and Dec 18 for a reading discussion to explore Lorde’s poems, essays, speeches, and autobiographies/memoirs.

Discussion led by Lorraine La Prade. We have books available to borrow and will have some pdfs of most texts. We will meet on zoom on Nov 6 and Dec 4 and in person on Nov 13, 20 and Dec 11 and 18th. In person meetings will be connected to zoom on request of the participants. Please register to let us know and for us to share information with you.

The reading list will include Zami, The Cancer Journals, as well as selected essays from Sister Outsider, and poetry from The Collected Poems of Audre Lorde. Reading material can be provided. Attend as many sessions as you would like, and feel free to suggest/ share a different Lorde poem with the group at the top of each session. All are welcome. Let’s all get inspired by this Black-lesbian-mother-warrior-poet!
