Spider Web Ties: a rope workshop with Parker

In person at WOW Cafe Theater in NYC + Live on Zoom

Just in time for spooky season, this workshop teaches how to make spider web harnesses and ties out of rope.

In this workshop, Parker will share their tricks (and treats!) for creating a spiderweb tie.  The workshop includes different frictions and techniques for keeping frictions in place, maintaining tension and structure, and using different rope materials.  Through demonstration and step-by-step hands-on learning, Parker will walk you through how to tie spider web patterns in chest harnesses, lower-body harnesses, and other decorative ties.

Though primarily decorative, Parker will also demonstrate how to build in structure to a spiderweb harness so that it can be a solid, suspension-worthy harness.

Participants in this workshop will learn to tie spiderweb harnesses step-by-step, learning how adjust angles and tension to the specific shapes of individual bodies. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and get individual feedback.
