The play centers on Alexandre Pinto who has just returned to her birth home to mourn her husband Pierre, who died in an accident. Her housekeeper Auntie Badria suggests she use traditional methods of her people to go forward and start a new way of living.
As Auntie Badria ferries her through the road to her new life, the Church intervenes and Alexandre’s late husband refuses to separate from life and continues to haunt her.
