We are thrilled to announce the launch of WOW Banned Book Club commencing OCT 27th 6PM to 7.30PM at WOW Cafe Theater and we hope you will join us.
The in person gathering has a max of 15 people and virtual option as well. Please email us to RSVP as this is by confirmation only attendance at wowbannedbookclub@gmail.com
We will provide light refreshments for participants and we cannot at this time accommodate dietary requirements, you are welcome to bring your own snacks if this is of concern.
Everyone gets a copy of the book if attending in person, and a PDF if attending online. Our book this month is Maya Angelou’s “Why A Caged Bird Sings”, originally published in 1969. This among many other books have been banned across school districts in America.
We welcome a respectful, robust and engaging session with your participation, no racism, sexism, transphobia or any other discriminatory behavior will be allowed. You will be asked to leave.
