Returning for its third season at WOW Café Theater, MicShop has evolved from a space of grief into a celebration of renewal, creation, and abundance. More than an open mic. More than a gallery. More than a gathering. This is a movement—a living, breathing sanctuary for artists, dreamers, and seekers to explore, express, and evolve together.

This April, we kick off our season in partnership with SpeakEasily for a special femme-focused artist salon in honor of Women’s History Month. We are thrilled to welcome this month’s featured artist, Dara Jemmott, a powerhouse performer whose comedic storytelling captivates audiences with raw truth and electric presence. With relatable comedy that carries both depth and fire, Dara’s artistry is a reminder of the power of claiming space, speaking boldly, and creating authentically. Our night will be co-hosted by the incredible Madge, a queer performance artist, organizer, and creative force behind SpeakEasily: A Femme-Focused Open Mic. Passionate about DIY events and community building, Madge brings an energy that transforms every stage into a space of fearless expression.

Whether you are a performer, a visual artist, or someone who believes in the transformative power of art, you belong here. Sign up for the MicShop, where all forms of performance—poetry, music, comedy, dance, storytelling—are welcome. Showcase your work in the Show & Sell Exhibit, where visual artists can display and discuss their creations. Or simply immerse yourself in the energy of a space built on collective imagination and creative freedom.
