¡Palante!’s is a monthly poetry reading series dedicated to highlighting and uplifting grassroots organizing efforts in NYC. Our inaugural poetry event, will be in collaboration with the Black Feminist Project!
Come listen to 3 amazing features poets: Chelsea Allison, Nyla Sampson and Nicole Goodwin, then hear from the founder and organizer of The Black Feminist Project and Mama Tanya’s Kitchen, Tanya Fields.
The Black Feminist Project aims to provide Black folks of marginalized genders with healthy food amidst food deserts, as well as empowering them to learn sustainable growing and farming techniques through their community run space, Libertad Urban Farm.
A majority of the ticket proceeds will be going to The Black Feminist Project, as a contribution towards future initiatives. Black folks pay sliding scale at the door!
