Through step-by-step instruction and hands-on practice, participants will learn multiple techniques for tying and being tied. In addition to rope handling and ties, the workshop models and teaches methods of communication, negotiation, consent, body awareness, risk assessment and risk reduction regarding rope/shibari play.
Attendees at Queer Rope Social can explore and experience rope ties, learn and practice rope, ask questions, and connect with fellow queer folks who share an interest in rope. The QRS team prioritizes consent and creating a low-key, welcoming environment that centers queer, trans, and non-binary people.
